Union Bank of India (UBI) delivered a dominant performance to defeat Champions Training Centre (CTC) White 4-0 in the finals of the Elite Men's category at the 14th Joe Fernandis Hockey Tournament, held in Bandra.
In the Schools U-16 final, Don Bosco secured a 2-0 win over Republicans, while in the Veterans category, Mumbai Port Authority (MPA) overcame Mumbai Raje with a 2-0 victory.
In the Senior Women's final, Sai Blue registered a convincing 3-0 win against Warriors, and in a closely contested Senior Men's final, CTC Red edged out Mansi Foundation 3-2.
A standout performance came in the Elite Ladies final, where India’s most capped women’s player Vandana Katariya netted a brace to guide Central Railway to a 2-1 win over Union Bank of India.
The finals were graced by the presence of Olympian and former India hockey captain MM Somayya, adding prestige to the tournament’s closing day.
