Wilred Leisure Sports Club and Union Villagers of Chinchinim played out a 1-1 draw, in the Goa Football Association's U-14 League match played at Cavelossim ground, on Monday. Sneden Almeida (12') scored for Wilred Leisure while Kenneth Pereira (40') made it all square for UV Chinchinim.
Wilred Leisure who suffered defeats earlier in the tournament started the game on an attacking note and tried to get the first goal in the initial moments as they constantly raided the rival defence. However, the Chinchinim side's defence fell apart in the 12th minute as Snedan Almeida scored in the 12th minute for Wilred Leisure SC. Down by a goal, UV Chinchinim tried hard to get the equaliser but the Wilred Leisure side kept the rivals out until the first half ended.
Post resumption, Kenneth Pereira scored a brilliant equaliser as the teams shared points. In another match at Curtorim ground, Velon's heroics helped CRSC Navelim scored a convincing 3-0 win over Curtorim Gymkhana. The teams were level at 0-0 in the first half as they cancelled out each other's moves and mostly restricted the play to midfield. After the breather, Velon Rebello netted thrice in the 53rd, 63rd and 70th minutes respectively to defeat the home side.
Youth Welfare Sports Club Assolna thumped Tilamola United Sports Club 6-0 at Ambelim ground. YWSC Assolna scored three goals in either of the sessions. Ian Fernandes (14', 15', 22',) Joean Simoes (61'), Amrash Parwar (63'), Prajwal Juvatkar (67') scored for the winners.
