Yug Prabhu and Chandan Caro moved one step closer to glory at the Ulhas Jewellers BPS All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2025, with Yug eyeing a triple crown and Chandan chasing a double crown at the Multipurpose Stadium in Fatorda.
In the Boys U15 semifinals, Chandan swept past Chinmay Bakhare 3-0, while Yug defeated Ruhaan Shaikh 3-1 in a high-quality encounter. Earlier in the quarters, Chandan beat Pratham Kaisare 3-0, Chinmay got past Mark D’Costa 3-1, Yug downed Vedant Wagle 3-0, and Ruhaan edged Dhruva Kamat 3-1.
In the Boys U19 category, top seed Aaron Farias booked his place in the final after a commanding 3-0 win over Dhruva Kamat in the semifinal, while Chandan Caro displayed fine form to overcome Rishan Shaikh 3-0 and earn his second final of the tournament.
In the quarterfinals, Aaron was pushed to the limit by a spirited Yug Prabhu before prevailing 3-2, Dhruva edged Surendra Chube 3-2, Rishan defeated Amaan Ahmad 3-0, and Chandan got past Ruhaan Shaikh 3-1.
Organised by BPS Sports Club in association with the Goa Table Tennis Association, the tournament promises a thrilling finish as Goa’s brightest young stars fight for top honours.
