3 Stars Canacona won the All Goa 3-A-Side mini lightning football tournament organised by Young Boys of Sirvodem beating Otto Nomos, Navelim 2-1 via tie-breaker at Sirvodem grounds.
The teams were locked goalless at the end of normal time. Both the teams showed attacking intent and as result there were flurry of attacks in both the halves but defenders stood tall in protecting their citadel intact. In the penalty shootout, Firoz and Mehboob converted for 3 Stars while Nash found the mark for Otto Nomos.
First scorer of the final - Nash of Otto Nomos. Player of the final Franden of Otto Nomos. Last touch of the final - Mehboob of 3 Stars. Mahesh Amonkar, social worker was the chief guest. Special invites were Sukdev Arwade, Selzon Barreto and Climax Lourenco, former India midfielder who gave away the prizes.
