MARGAO: ABC Sports Club Arambol secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Football Club Siolim in their GFA Third Division League clash, at Mandrem Panchayat ground, on Friday. The match was decided by Given Fernandes, whose late strike clinched the win for Arambol.
In the first half, FC Siolim dominated the midfield and created several promising opportunities to score. Despite their control and attacking efforts, they were unable to break through the steadfast Arambol defense.
As the game progressed into the second half, Arambol intensified their efforts to find a way past the Siolim backline. Their persistence paid off dramatically in stoppage time when Given Fernandes scored the only goal of the match, delivering a crucial win for his team.
