Dempo Sports Club will face off against Dempo Juniors in the final of the Goa Monsoon Football Premier League (GMFPL) at the GFA Duler Ground in Mapusa on Sunday.
In the first semifinal, Dempo SC edged past Guardian Angel SC, Curchorem with a 2-1 victory. Dempo’s attacking prowess was on display as Nash Fernandes and Pradip Kullu found the back of the net. Mejoice Goes pulled one back for Guardian Angel SC, but it wasn’t enough.
The second semifinal saw Dempo Juniors overcome Sporting Clube de Goa, also by a 2-1 margin. Topan Minij and Jonathan Silva scored for Dempo Juniors, while Prince Figueiredo netted the lone goal for Sporting.
The tournament, played on a knockout basis, has highlighted the depth of talent within the Dempo ranks as both their senior and junior squads now prepare for an all-Dempo final.
