Anaya to face Shaurya in U11 girls final at Mangeshi Major Ranking TT

Top seed Anaya Shukla will meet second seed Shaurya Dessai in the Girls U11 final of the 7th Mangeshi All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament, marking their third consecutive final clash this season.

Anaya secured her spot in the final with a dominant 3-0 win over Aarna Walawalkar, while Shaurya came through a gritty semifinal against Claire George, winning 3-1.

The tournament is being held at V.D. & S.V. Wagle High School, Mardol, organised by the Mangirish Vidyadayini Samstha in association with the Wagle High School Diamond Jubilee Celebration Committee, under the aegis of the Goa Table Tennis Association, as part of the school’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

In Girls U13, the pre-quarterfinals saw top seed Sachi Dessai beat Trisha Kamat 3-0, Kavyaa Khalap down Sailee Talaulikar 3-0, third seed Tisha Shaikh defeat Anaya Shukla 3-0, and Inara D’Souza ease past Sidhvi Tuekar 3-0.

Fourth seed Gianna George overcame Evangeline Rodrigues 3-1, Aarna Lotlikar beat Ruhi Nachinolkar 3-0, Samaira Verlekar defeated Tvisha Kotkar 3-0, and top seed Aayushi Amonkar got past Kavya Mahambre 3-1.

In the quarterfinals, Sachi Dessai held off a strong challenge from Kavyaa Khalap 3-2, Tisha Shaikh beat Inara D’Souza in straight games, Aarna Lotlikar breezed past Gianna George 3-0, and Aayushi Amonkar blanked Samaira Verlekar 3-0 to book her semifinal spot.
