PANAJIAnish Naik won the Ponda Taluka level open rapid chess tournament scoring 7.5 out of 8 pts. Aston Dias and Netra Savaikar secured 2nd and 3rd place respectively. The tournament was organised by Ponda Taluka Chess Association (PTCA) under the auspices of Goa Chess Ad-Hoc Committee at Wagle High School, Mangeshi. Amogh Namshiker was the Chief Arbiter of the tournament. Best U13 first place went to Riddhi Gaude while Sumedh Shikerkar came in second, Best U11 was picked up by Arnav Rege and Shrisakshi Shet took second place, Best U9 went to Avani Sawaikar whereas Shrisakshi Shet emerged second and in Best U7 Aarav naik finished first while Sarthak Naik came second. Certificates and trophies were distributed at the hands of Sagar Sakordekar (President, PTCA), Amogh Namshiker (Secretary, PTCA), Sandesh Naik (Jt Secretary, PTCA), PTCA Executive members Jaywant Hammanavar and Anand Kurtikar.
