Arlem CC defeated Young Stars of Moula by six wickets to book a place in the final of the 44th Nanda Lolyekar Leather Ball Cricket Tournament at the Nirakar Cricket Ground, Dapot Mashem, on Saturday.
Batting first, Young Stars of Moula posted 159 for 9 in their allotted 35 overs, with Veer Yadav top-scoring with 40 runs. Yogesh Naik contributed 26, while Suraj Gond added 18. For Arlem CC, Arth Sahani returned impressive figures of 2 for 13, while Rahul Mehta (2/27) and Saurin Thakar (2/35) provided good support.
In reply, Arlem CC chased down the target comfortably, reaching 162 for 4 in just 19.5 overs. Shivendra Bhujbal led the charge with a fine knock of 62, well supported by Prathmesh Gawas (31) and Tunish Sawkar (21). For Young Stars of Moula, Sarthak Walke picked up two wickets for 18 runs, while Kaustubh Pingulkar and Suraj Gond claimed a wicket each.
With this convincing victory, Arlem CC advanced to the tournament final.
