BAFF scored a hard fought 3-2 tie-breaker win over Dunes Sports Club to move into the quarterfinals of 1st Vedanta Trophy, organised by Sinquerim Sports Club, at Sinquerim Sports Club ground.
In an evenly contested encounter, both the teams failed to score throughout the match. The match ended goalless leading to a tie-breaker.
In the ensuing tie-breaker, BAFF scored through Chandan Govekar, Aiyan Shaikh and Shaheen Shaikh while Dunes Sports Club found the net only through Leslee Britto and Sanford Fernandes. Saimesh Gaonkar was yellow carded by the match referee.
Gaurish Popkar was awarded the Man of the Match by Devraj Tari.
