Calangute Veterans thumped Quepem Veterans 4-0 at Dr Gustavo Monteiro ground, Candolim. India U-16 head coach Bibiano Fernandes put Calangute ahead with a fine strike in the 13th minute and secured his hat-trick with two quick goals in the 41st and 44th minutes. Alwyn Fernandes scored the fourth goal for a comfortable win for Calangute. Quepem’s Jaffer Yadwad was adjudged Man-of-the-Match.

MARGAO Chapora Yuvak Sangh got the better of Assonora United 6-5 via the tie-breaker at Poriat ground, Calangute. Chapora led at halftime after a goal from Vinayak Mulgaonkar but Assonora equalised in the second half through Kunal Salgaokar. In the penalties, Chapora scored through Rohan Kambli, Dinesh Morajkar, Pratik Dharalkar, Soma Korgaokar and Nitesh Salgaokar.
