Dazzling Divas of Old Goa defeated Navdurga Warriors of Marcaim by 3-2 homes to emerge as champions of All-Goa baseball tournament organised by 'INSIGHT', The Society for Sports, Culture, Youth Affairs & Charity, at Marcaim Panchayat ground.
The four-team tournament was played on a league basis. In the finals, Dazzling Divas elected to field first after winning the toss. The final match featured a lot of senior State players in action after more than 10 years. The three-inning final went till the last inning, wherein Dazzling Divas kept their nerves calm to win the title.
For Dazzling Divas, Ashlesha Naik, Ankita Gaude and Vaishnavi Naik were the home scorers, while only Vidhya Satarkar Gaude and Nikita Gaude scored a home each for the opposition. The winners and runners-up were awarded cash prizes along with trophies.
Anant Naik, ex-vice president of GCA, was the chief guest and handed over the prizes in the presence of Hanumant Naik, Sameer Naik and Rohan Fadte. Venfreda Rodrigues compered the closing function while Pranav Prabhudesai gave a vote of thanks.
