Dempo Sports Club emerged victorious in the GFA Second Division I League final after defeating Sesa Football Academy by a convincing 4-0 scoreline, at Sirsaim ground, on Wednesday.
The Dempo colts dominated the match from the outset, establishing a comfortable 2-0 lead at half-time. Kayal Faleiro opened the scoring in the 31st minute with a well-placed shot followed by Anson Vaz's goal just before the break.
Sesa struggled to find their footing in the second half as their morale visibly dampened. Dempo capitalised on their opponent's weakness, with Krutik Gaikwad extending the lead further. Tanuj Singh sealed the win for Dempo in the 78th minute putting the final nail in Sesa's coffin.
Dr Caitano Fernandes, President of the Goa Football Association, and Anthony Pango, Vice President of Goa Football Association South Goa were present to witness Dempo's emphatic victory.
