Fr Agnel College of Arts and Commerce, Pilar Goa in collaboration with John Paul II Foundation for Sports Goa will organise a one-day workshop, 'Mentoring for Wholistic Development through Sports' on February 24. The workshop aims to empower Physical Education (PE) personnel and coaches with insights into how mentoring in sports can be a powerful tool for instilling values, shaping character and contributing to the overall well-being of students. The workshop is for about 150 physical education (PE) personnel and coaches from schools colleges and clubs across the State. On the occasion, Armando Colaco, Dronacharya awardee, along with other nationally renowned coaches, sports administrators and journalists will be felicitated. USC Seraulim inter-village cricket from Feb 22
MARGAO: United Sports Club of Seraulim will be hosting the 2nd All Goa Inter-Village Cricket Tournament on February 22 and 23, at the Seraulim Panchayat Ground. The tournament will commence at 9 am on both days, drawing teams from across Goa for an exciting weekend of cricket. The winners of the tournament will receive a cash prize of Rs 25,000, while the runners-up will take home Rs 15,000, along with trophies for both teams. Teams can register with Rayner Dias, Nitesh Parab, or Mukhund Sinde by February 20.
Archery selection trials on Feb 23
PANAJI: The Amateur Archery Association will be conducting selection trials for boys and girls in the Under-10, Under-13, and Under-15 age groups for the upcoming NTPC (Mini) National Archery Championship. The event is scheduled to take place in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, from March 20 to 30. The selection trials will be held on February 23 at the Ponda Sports Complex, Ponda, starting at 10 am. The trials will be held in the following age categories: Under-10 - Born on or after January 1, 2015 (9 years and below); Under-13 - Born on or after January 1, 2012 (12 years and below); Under-15 - Born on or after January 1, 2010 (10-14 years).
Cuncolim Union AGM moved to Feb 23
MARGAO: The annual general body meeting of Cuncolim Union was adjourned on February 16 due a lack of quorum. The meeting will now be held on February 23.
