Goa Badminton Association (GBA) organized an exhibition match at SAG Indoor stadium at Campal, here on the occasion of Dussehra.
The trainees at Panaji RCC Centre witnessed two of Goa’s star players in action, India international player Anura Prabhu Desai taking on Goa State ranked player Ayaan Shaikh.
“We had a session which was a learning experience for the trainees, watching the senior star players demonstrate a wide range of strokes over an engaging thee-set match. This was not the usual Navratri/Dandiya kind of celebration but something uniquely different,” stated GBA secretary Sandeep Heble.
“There was a fitness session by SAG coach Iftikhar Shaikh, motivational talk, exhibition matches and much more to add to the excitement for the young trainees,” Heble informed. “From November onwards, our tournament activities will commence. We have a busy calendar of events ahead and players are super excited about it.”
