MARGAO
A team of seven cyclists from Goa undertook an inspiring 350 km cycling expedition across the scenic Andaman and Nicobar Islands from September 21 to 24. The ride was not just about adventure”it was driven by a greater purpose: to support Smile Foundation, a Delhi-based national development organization dedicated to the health and education of underprivileged children.
Smile Foundation has been working for over 23 years across 27 states of India, running more than 400 projects and reaching over 15 million children and their families through its life-cycle based development model.
Representing Goa were Yogesh Prabhudessai, Suryakant R. Narvekar, Shilpa Pawar, Adv. Raviraj Chodankar, Adv. Sarvesh Kamat Malyekar, Dr. Rohan Karmali, and Dr. Vishal Naik. They were part of a larger group of over 35 cyclists from across the country who participated in the eco-tourism initiative, organized under the banner of Team Parikrama.
Known for its untouched natural beauty, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands offer a perfect backdrop for eco-friendly adventures. The cyclists navigated serene roads, lush green forests, and pristine coastlines”promoting sustainable tourism while supporting a noble cause.
