MARGAO
The final group matches of the Alcon GSB Unity Cup T20 cricket tournament were called off on Saturday due to heavy rain at the MCC ground in Margao.
This included a crucial group 'A' match between Rangers and Mathagram Warriors. Both teams received one point each for this cancelled fixture. With this one added point The Rangers with total of seven points reach the semifinals, while the Warriors opened their points account to end the campaign. Mapusa Dream Crushers (6 points) were also in contention to reach semis but rain spoiled their chances. The match between the bottom two teams of Group B, Knight Archers and Antruz Rising Stars, was also cancelled.
