In a pulsating quarter-final match, ITS raised their match to great height to beat Bandoi Boys 5-3 via the tie-breaker to enter the semi-final of late Santan & Silvio Mendes Memorial football tournament organised by Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim and played at Fr Druston and Wellington Ground, Cavelossim.
The first goal was scored for ITS by Mevon Gracias off a long pass by Alan Fernandes.
In the second half, Asher scored with a long range shot that beat Vakugan hands down in the ITS goal.
But hardly had the cheers died down when Alan shot from the center of the field to take the lead once again for ITS and defended their citadel in a defensive play but Bandoi Boys’ Aston Vaz took a long range shot which was headed into the net by Mepher to take the game into penalty shoot out where Mavon, Alan and Captain Glenn Gracias scored for ITS but Asher shot wide for Bandoi Boys to end on the losing side.
