Just Fitness Veterans edged out Aldona Veterans 1-0 in a thrilling encounter at the Panjim Veterans Football Tournament, held at the Taleigao Ground.
The only goal of the match came in the dying moments, with Adni Afonso giving Just Fitness Veterans the lead just before the final whistle. A well-placed cross from Sunil Palkar set up Afonso, who calmly slotted the ball into the net.
Aldona Veterans put up a resilient fight, with Gurudas Lotlikar testing the Just Fitness goalkeeper on several occasions. Despite their best efforts, they couldn't find the equaliser.
Man of the Match award was presented to Ramesh Priolkar of Aldona Veterans by Vardan Haldankar, proprietor of Anand Ashram Hotel.
