MARGAO
The 7th edition of the Late Bhikoo Pai Angle All India Under-15 tournament is set to begin on Monday across four venues: Margao, Sanguem, Chicalim, and Agonda.
This year, eight teams from outside Goa -- Green Nest Academy (Coimbatore), Dwarka CA (Nashik), Just Cricket CA (Bangalore), SGR-MSDONI CA (Nagpur), Adambak CA (Chennai), Team Work CA (Mumbai), Panthers CA (Bangalore), and BP Patil “ Kharghar (Mumbai) -- will face off against two local teams: the Sports Authority of Goa and Margao Cricket Academy.
The tournament aims to expose young talent, especially Goan players, to competitors from various regions across India. Each team will play four league matches, each consisting of 45 overs, culminating in the final on November 10 at Fatorda. A total of 21 matches will be held, including the final.
This tournament is unique in India, organised by the Margao Cricket Youth Club with the assistance of its students. Notable past participants include Heramb Parab from Goa and Sahil Parakh from Nashik, both of whom have gone on to represent India after competing in this tournament.
21 trophies will be awarded for the Man of the Match throughout the competition.
