Murida Veterans showcased their dominance on Saturday, securing a comfortable 3-0 victory over Bardez Veterans at the Don Bosco ground, Fatorda, in the 10th Fatorda Veterans Football Tournament. The win propelled Murida into the quarterfinals of the competition, organized by Fatorda Veterans.
Murida's clinical performance saw goals from Menino Pango, Sebostiao Furtado, and Philip Ferrao, each finding the back of the net to seal the emphatic win. Bardez Veterans, despite their efforts, were unable to breach Murida’s solid defense, encountering a particularly formidable obstacle in goalkeeper Succour Azavedo. Azavedo’s sharp reflexes and excellent positioning denied Bardez’s Bibiano on three separate occasions, thwarting his goal-scoring attempts.
Philip Ferrao's impressive performance earned him the Man of the Match award, presented by Pascoal Soares. His contribution was pivotal in Murida’s advancement in the tournament.
