Navelim SC win shoot-out, enter quarters

Navelim Sporting Club edged past Cuncolim Union 5-4 via the tie-breaker to enter the quarter-finals of the St Joseph Festival soccer inter-village football tournament played at Dramapur football ground.   

Both teams remained goalless at the end of regulation time. In the resultant tie-breaker, Danstan Fernandes, Wellington D’Silva, Nevin Pereira, Sadroy Costa and Mallappa Bizzorgi netted for Navelim SC while Dylon Carvalho, Frazer Fernandes, Jolyton Fernandes, Meavon Fernandes found the net for Cuncolim Union.

MARGAOSporting Club Davorlim got the better of CAC Cansaulim 3-1 to storm into the finals of the V M Salgaocar Memorial Invitational inter-village football tournament, organised by Prime SC in association with Margao SC, at St John Baptist grounds Dando, Benaulim.
