The Priority Titans triumphed in a nail-biting encounter, while the Desserts n More Avengers cruised to a comfortable victory on the 7th day of the 7th edition of the Rajdeep Builders Sarsangan Super Series Cricket 2024-25, at the Arlem Cricket Ground.
The Rookies, put in to bat, managed to score 141-9 in their allotted 20 overs. Contributions came from Eeshan Kamat (35), Rajaram Kundaikar (21), Sahil Neurenkar (19), Sukrut Pai (18), and Vibhav Pai (14). For the Titans, Sunil Salgaonkar was the standout bowler with exceptional figures of 4-11, supported by Amith Kamat (2-25), Gururaj Bale (1-11), and Animesh Prabhugaonkar (1-20).
In reply, the Priority Titans were given a solid start by Deval Karmali (23), Granthik Buyao (28), Amith Kamat (21), and Rauji Kakodkar (17). However, the Rookies fought back with Sanat Kamat’s brilliant bowling performance, taking 3 wickets for 29 runs, as the Titans slumped to 116-8 in 15 overs. With 26 runs from Animesh Prabhugaonkar and an unbeaten 11 from Gururaj Bale, the Titans managed to edge past the target, finishing at 143-9 with 4 balls to spare.
Sanat Kamat’s effort with the ball earned him the Wakao Best Bowler award, while Sunil Salgaonkar was named Drogaria Colvalcar Man of the Match for his outstanding bowling. Eeshan Kamat received the Priority Constructions Best Batter award. Sandesh Timblo graced the prize distribution ceremony.
In the second match, The 108 Delite Titans, electing to bat first, posted a competitive total of 146-9. Skipper Viraj Puranik top-scored with 37 runs, while Avinash Kossambe (26) and Ashay Ambe (26) contributed valuable runs. For the Avengers, their captain Siddhesh Prabhu Alvencar was the star with the ball, taking 3-17. Vaibhav Kadkade (2-15), Nimay Kamat (2-19), Sarin Kane (1-11), and Shridhar Keni (2-19) also played key roles in restricting the Titans.
Chasing 147, the Avengers started strongly with openers Sachin Bhandare (37) and Sanat Prabhudesai (35), who put on 55 runs in just 29 balls. Vaibhav Kadkade (15), Pramey Prabhu (12*), and Siddhesh Prabhu Alvencar (25*) completed the chase with ease, taking the Avengers home with 19 balls to spare, finishing at 147-4.
Siddhesh Prabhu Alvencar was named Drogaria Colvalcar Man of the Match, while Sachin Bhandare received the Priority Constructions Best Batter award. Vaibhav Kadkade was honored with the Wakao Best Bowler award. Madhav Talak attended the prize distribution ceremony.
