Raia Sporting Club made short work of Arlem Youth Association, securing a 4-2 victory in the Salcete Zone Third Division league at Raia Panchayat Ground on Saturday. Raia Sporting Club dominated early, taking a commanding 3-0 lead by halftime.
The home side opened the scoring in the 8th minute through Milroy Fernandes. Just five minutes later, Chetan Gaude doubled the advantage. Ravindra Gaude then put Raia firmly in control with a goal in the 29th minute.
Arlem Youth Association showed some fight in the second half, with Jeff Gaunkar pulling one back in the 47th minute. Moving Gaunkar then converted a penalty in the 65th minute to further reduce the deficit.
However, Raia Sporting Club remained composed and continued to press forward. Sheehan Fernandes sealed the win by firing the final goal in the 85th minute.
In another match at Varca Ground, Carmona and United Club of Seraulim played out an entertaining 3-3 draw.
