RCB Strikers Verlem beat Terminators to win the inaugural season of Netravali Premier League cricket tournament, organised by Amit Naik.
Eight teams from Netravali village panchayat “ Boom Boom Basher, Aaravi Cricketers, Mighty Bulls, Terminators, Saishakti Warriors, RCB Strikers Verlem, Ajab Warriors, SRS11, owned by Amit Naik, Ratikant Naik, Rupesh Gaonkar, Siddhant Naik, Vinay Gaonkar, Rupesh Verlekar, Ramdas Gaonkar and Guru Desai, respectively, participated in the tournament, which was exclusively for the players from Netravali who were auctioned to pick 15-member squads.
The winners received a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and a championship trophy with medals, while the runners-up bagged a prize of Rs 20,000 and medals. Shailesh Gaonkar of Terminators was named as the Man of the series and received a prize of Rs 10,000 and a medal. Viraj Gaonkar of RCB earned the Best batsman prize of Rs 5,000, while his team-mate Ajit Gaonkar won the best bowler prize of Rs 5,000.
