Sai Veterans (B23) beat hosts Dramapur Veterans 2-1 to romp into the final of Dramapur Veterans football tournament at Dramapur Ground on Wednesday. The teams were tied 1-1 at half time. Sai Veterans struck the rhythm and forged ahead in the 10th minute when Caitan Xavier beat the rival goalkeeper with a rasping shot. Eleven minutes later, Peter Peixoto levelled the score. Post resumption, Sai Veterans launched forays into the rival territory when Bibiano Fernandes struck the match winner. Dramapur were unlucky when Sukdev Arwade’s header sailed over the cross bar. Dramapur goalkeeper Martin made superlative saves to restrict the score 2-1.
