Santa Cruz High School, Santa Cruz, organized their All Goa inter-school U-17 boys volleyball tournament, at Santa Cruz Church ground, recently.
A total of six schools participated in the tournament and were divided into two groups: Santa Cruz High School, St. Cruz, Auxilium High School, Caranzalem, St Bartholomew High School, Chorao, St. Lawrence High School, Agassaim, St. Andrew’s High School, Goa-Velha and Our Lady of Merces High School, Merces
In Group-A, Santa Cruz HS topped and Auxilium HS, Caranzalem topped from the Group B to qualify and play the final match of the tournament.
The results was in favor of Santa Cruz HS defeated Auxilium HS, Caranzalem in two straight sets which resulted with the score of 25-20, 25-18 points to clinch the championship
Sylvia Aguiar was the chief guest for the closing ceremony and handed over the winning trophies, individual trophies, medals, certificates to all the schools in the presence of Rudolf Fernandes, MLA of Santa Cruz Constituency, Victor Gonsalves Ex. MLA of Santa Cruz Constituency and Social worker, J J V Russell Coutinho, Headmaster of Santa Cruz HS, Sonia Charate Asst. Headmistress and other officials.
