The Sarsangan Desserts n More Futsal Super Series 2025 got underway with flair at The Base Futsal Ground, Seraulim, featuring 10 top teams from across Goa and Mumbai. The opening ceremony saw Francisco Bruto Da Costa, Head Coach of Geno FC, unveil the official team jerseys alongsideofficials and businessman Vallabh Pai.
Organised by the Saraswat Sports Sangh Charitable Trust, the tournament includes teams like Mumbai GSB FC, Cosmos United (Panaji), PDK Kings (Bicholim), FC Global (Margao), Rookies FC (Salcete), Antruz Rising Stars, Sniper FC, SynQ Rangers, Antruz Strikers, and Pai Khot Fighters.
Cosmos United made a strong start with back-to-back wins. They beat Sniper FC 5“3, with Vibhil Lad scoring twice and earning the Man of the Match title. Cosmos followed up with a dominant 8“3 victory over Rookies FC, where Soham Prabhugaunkar and Amay Barad each netted a brace. Goalkeeper Shailesh Miskin stood out with a match-winning performance.
PDK Kings were equally ruthless, thrashing Sniper FC 9“0 in their opener. Gajanan Kamat scored five goals, while Prathamesh Prabhu and Arya Shetye added two each. They then defeated defending champions Antruz Rising Stars 5“2, with Sampad Kamat named Man of the Match for his all-round display.
SynQ Rangers recorded the day’s biggest win, dismantling Rookies FC 15“1. Sanat Mhapne scored five goals, while Adhiraj Mopkar added four. Mhapne was named Man of the Match.
At the end of day one, Cosmos United and PDK Kings lead their respective groups with two wins each. SynQ Rangers remain unbeaten with a +14 goal difference from one game.
