Spring Boys Mandopa defeated 3 Bros Colva 4-1 to win the V Friends Navelim Trophy football tournament, at Rosary ground.
The Colva side opened the scoring through Denvil but the joy was short-lived as Darell equalised within nine minutes for Mandopa. The teams were level at 1-1 in first half. In the second half, Darell, Frendon and Ronald scored for Mandopa to make it 4-1 and seal the title.
Aldrich Coelho, son of late Santarita Coelho, social worker, panch and former executive member of the GFA, was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up, in the presence of Cipru Cardozo, Paul Rebello and other dignitaries and club officials.
Spring Boys, Mandopa were awarded a prize of Rs 30,000, while 3 Bros collected a prize of Rs 20,000.
The following individual prizes were awarded: First striker of the final - Denvil (3 Bros Colva), Best disciplined team - St Anthony Canacona, Best defender of the final - Joseph (3 Bros Colva), Man of the match - Darell (Spring Boys Mandopa).
