Riding on a hat-trick by Aayan Shaikh, St Joseph's Educational Institute, Chandor thumped Our Lady of Carmel's, Curtorim 5-0 to enter the final of the 2nd All Goa inter-school football tournament, organised by St Joseph's Ex-Students Association Chandor Goa, at Chandor Church ground.
Aayan gave an early lead to St Joseph, Chandor by scoring from close in the sixth minute. Before Carmel boys could recover from the early shock, Aayan took advantage of the Carmel keeper who fumbled to collect the ball scored his second goal in the seventh minute.
Carmel Boys worked hard to come in the match but the Chandor boys seemed superior .
Trinsly Menezes made it 3-0 in the 11th minute and Casviro Fernandes scored the fourth goal just before half time. At the time of the breather, Chandor lead 4-0. Aayan completed his hat-trick when he scored his third goal in the 30th minute. Earlier the teams were introduced to the guest Gustavo Furtado Ex GM of Trafco Bahrain and retired scout teacher Diogo Fernandes.
