United Club of Verna dominated Benfica Youth Club 3-0 to secure a place in the quarterfinals of the 1st Fernando Abranches Memorial Trophy 2025 at the Verna Panchayat Ground.
All three goals were scored in the first half, with Aldrich Fernandes finding the back of the net twice in the 14th and 16th minutes, followed by Joyson’s strike in the 22nd minute to complete the 3-0 scoreline.
Aldrich Fernandes was named the Star of the Match for his impressive performance, with the award presented by William Barretto, former Sarpanch and current Panch of Verna Village Panchayat.
