United SC Seraulim narrowly defeated Fr Agnelo Paroda 1-0 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Curtorim Panchayat Cup 2025. The tournament is organized by Maina Sports Club and the match was held at St. Alex Church ground, Curtorim, on Friday.
In an exciting contest, both teams created several goal-scoring opportunities but struggled to find the back of the net. The deadlock was broken in the 25th minute when Selroy Fernandes scored for USC Seraulim, giving them a 1-0 lead in the first half.
In the second half, Fr Agnelo Paroda had two clear chances to equalize, but their strikers were unable to convert. The match ended 1-0 in favor of USC Seraulim.
Selroy Fernandes (USC Seraulim) was named Man of the Match by Santan Rodrigues, former President of Curtorim Gymkhana.
