Head coach Joao Rebello is confident his side Ambelim Sports Club can cement their spot in the final as they are set to face Corbett FC in the semifinals of the in the AIFF Futsal club championship which will be played on Friday, at the Swarnim Gujarat Sports University in Vadodara district of Gujarat.
“The preparations for the game have been good and the players are ready to face them," said Rebello whose men are a victory away from being the driver's seat to lock horns in the final title clash.
“We were extremely happy that we defeated Minerva in the quarterfinal. It was an important victory for us as it increased our chances of making it to the semifinal," said Rebello.
"We just want to keep this winning momentum going and although we are not discounting our chances, we believe Corbett FC are in a stronger side to finish top in the final group," he added.
“We must remain focused now and concentrate on winning our next match rather than other elements that is out of our hands,” Rebello concluded.
