The much-awaited seventh season of the Advocates Cricket League (ACL) is all set to get underway from December 21, promising an action-packed T20 tournament featuring teams from Goa’s legal fraternity. Matches will be played at Chicalim, Vasco, with the semi-finals and final scheduled to be held at the GCA ground in Porvorim.

Following a successful auction held recently at the High court premises in Porvorim, all franchises have finalised their 16-member squads, setting the stage for intense competition. The league phase will see teams battling it out from December 21 to 29, with two matches scheduled daily at 9.15 am and 1.30 pm, except for December 25, which will be observed as a holiday.

The opening day will witness 18 Juners taking on Lotlikar Lions in the morning fixture, followed by Lawyer Challengers facing United Brothers in the afternoon match. Other key encounters during the league phase include clashes between Risers and Legal Titans, Lotlikar Lions and United Brothers, as well as repeat high-voltage fixtures involving Lawyer Challengers, 18 Juners, and Risers.

The top four teams at the end of the league stage will qualify for the semi-finals, scheduled on January 9, 2026, with Rank 1 facing Rank 4 in the first semi-final at 9.15 am, and Rank 2 taking on Rank 3 in the second semi-final at 1.30 pm. The grand final will be played on flood lights scheduled on January 10, 2026, at 6.00 pm.

Speaking ahead of the tournament, ACL President Iftikhar Agha said, “The Advocates Cricket League has grown stronger with every season. This year, the enthusiasm shown by team owners and players during the auction reflects the passion within the legal fraternity for the sport. Our aim is to promote healthy competition, camaraderie, and sportsmanship, while providing a professional platform for advocates to showcase their cricketing talent.”

Defending champions UB Warriors will be keen to retain their crown, while teams such as Lawyer Challengers, Legal Titans, Lotlikar Lions, Risers, United Brothers, and 18 Juners will look to make a strong impact in what promises to be a closely contested season.

With the Season 7 trophy already unveiled and fixtures announced, excitement is steadily building as the Advocates Cricket League prepares for another thrilling chapter.
