PANAJI: The Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs (DSYA), Government of Goa, will conduct selection trials in fencing for Under-17 and Under-19 boys and girls to pick the state teams for the 69th National School Games Championship 2025. According to the DSYA notification, the trials will be held on December 21 at the Athletic Stadium, Bambolim. Reporting time for participants has been fixed between 10.30 am and 11.30 am, and the trials will be supervised by Vinayak Malik.
The selected Goa teams will take part in the national championship to be held in Maharashtra from December 28 to 31, 2025, while the Under-19 boys’ and girls’ events will be held in Manipur from January 8 to 12, 2026.
Eligibility criteria specify that Under-14 players must be born on or after January 1, 2012; Under-17 players on or after January 1, 2009; and Under-19 players on or after January 1, 2007. Selected players will be required to submit age verification test certificates from a doctor. School identity cards or sports cards will be mandatory at the time of registration.
