Sporting Clube spread festive cheer at Peace Haven Special School

Sporting Clube de Goa organised a community outreach program at Peace Haven Special School (Orphanage), Caranzalem, on Thursday.

In a special session organised for the children, the club conducted a Christmas outreach session where the players interacted and engaged with them through fun-filled games and activities, creating moments of laughter and connection.

"Seeing the children enjoy the day was truly rewarding. It reminds us that giving back to the community is just as important as what happens on the football field," said Senior Team Manager Angelo Albuquerque.

The club distributed gifts and essentials to the children, extending support and festive cheer while the children enjoyed Christmas carols during the visit.

“The club is the first in the sports field to visit us, and there was excitement when the children saw the players, and they had to be contained while waiting to meet them.” said Sister Maggie from the school, highlighting the excitement of the children and the significance of the visit.

The club’s team took a moment during the visit to share a heartfelt message with the students, emphasizing values such as kindness, teamwork, and joy, and wishing their days to be filled with laughter, color, and hope.

“Football teaches many things, but the most important ones are kindness, teamwork, and joy, which the school has taught them,” conveyed Jude Sales, Head of Operations, on behalf of the club’s team and shared a heartfelt message on positive values and motivation.
