Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Assagao and Vidya Prabodhini College, Porvorim registered victories on Day 14 of the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Cricket Men’s Championship 2025–26, defeating Government College Quepem by 42 runs and Rosary College, Navelim by four wickets, respectively.
In the first match, DM’s College Assagao won the toss and opted to bat, posting a competitive 146/9 in 20 overs. Yash Gadekar top-scored with 32 off 22 balls, while Rohan Zantye contributed 23. For Government College Quepem, Arjun Jomali was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2 for 15, supported by Harsh Kakodkar who claimed 1 for 11.
In reply, Government College Quepem were restricted to 104/9 in their 20 overs despite Dhruv Bhende’s 34 off 36 deliveries and Darpan Pagi’s 16. Manish Nirawadekar delivered a match-winning spell, claiming 5 for 21, while Rayyan Shah chipped in with two wickets. Nirawadekar was named Player of the Match, while Gadekar earned the best batter award.
In the second match, Vidya Prabodhini College, Porvorim elected to field first after winning the toss. Rosary College, Navelim posted 135/8 in their allotted 20 overs, with Drushal Kolkar scoring 35 off 28 balls and Sagar Byadigi adding 18. Abhishek and Hetanshu Meher picked up two wickets each for the bowling side.
Chasing 136, Vidya Prabodhini College reached the target comfortably at 139/6 in 18.1 overs. Samyak Londhe led the charge with 43 off 39 balls, while Mayur Bargude contributed 30 off 24 deliveries. Aaryan Kumar was the most successful bowler for Rosary College with figures of 2 for 17, while Sangamnath Pujari took one wicket. Abhishek Bharti was adjudged Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
