GVM’s Gopal Govind Poy Raiturcar College of Commerce and Economics successfully organised the 2nd All Goa Inter-Collegiate Futsal Tournament at the Kick-Off Futsal Arena, Talaulim, recently.
The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from colleges across Goa, showcasing high levels of skill, teamwork and sportsmanship.
The champions GVM’s Gopal Govind Poy Raiturcar College of Commerce & Economics were awarded Rs 10,000 cash prize and trophy while the runners-up Government College, Khandola received Rs 6,000 cash prize and trophy.
The prizes were presented by Chief Guest Shri Mithil Dhavlikar in the presence of GVM Chairman Shri Krishna Shetye and Deputy Sarpanch Shri Dilesh Gaonkar.
The event was held under the guidance of Prof. Smita Sanzgiri, Officiating Principal of the college. The tournament was organised by Mrs. Betty D’Silva, Director of Physical Education, and Prashant Fadte, with active support from the Students’ Council and dedicated volunteers.
