Secure 30 medals and overall first place

In an extremely proud moment for Mormugao Taluka , The Jab & Box (JAB) Club Vasco delivered a commanding performance at the All Goa State Boxing Championship 2026, securing the overall first position and stamping its authority as one of the state’s leading boxing academies. The championship was held at Monte de Guirim, Bardez, in association with the Boxing Federation of India, World Boxing and the Goa Amateur Boxing Association.
Thirteen teams from across Goa participated in the tournament, competing in multiple age and weight categories. JAB Club Vasco finished at the top of the medal tally with an impressive haul of 30 medals, including 18 gold, five silver and seven bronze.
Congratulating the athletes, JAB Club President Girish Pillai and founder member and Vincent Xavier praised their discipline and fighting spirit. “This success is the result of consistent training, dedication and the hunger to excel. Our boxers have shown that hard work inside the ring always pays off,” Pillai said.
He also appealed to parents to encourage their children to take up boxing. “JAB Club at Joggers Park, Dabolim, is not just about medals. We focus on fitness, confidence, self-discipline and character-building. I urge parents to send their children and give them the opportunity to grow through sport,” he added.
Officials said the performance has further strengthened JAB Club Vasco’s reputation on the state boxing circuit.
