United Boys of Ambaulim defeated Sao Jose de Areal 3–0 to book a place in the semifinals of the UCT Trophy Inter-Village Football Tournament, organised by the United Club of Telaulim at the Government Primary School ground, Telaulim.
United Boys opened the scoring in the 36th minute through F. Carvalho. Alfino Gonsalves doubled the lead in the 40th minute, before Reagan Simoes sealed the victory with the third goal in the 49th minute.
For his impressive performance, F. Carvalho was adjudged Man of the Match. The award was presented by sports promoter Damacano Mascarenhas to Avlon Fernandes of United Club of Ambaulim.
