United Boys Ambaulim marched into the finals of the 3rd Fr. Bruno Leitao Memorial Inter-Village Football Tournament with a confident 2-0 victory over Guardian Angels SC, Curchorem, in a gripping semi-final clash.
Ambaulim made an early statement, opening the scoring in just the 6th minute through Sowell Fernandes, who calmly slotted past the goalkeeper to give his side the lead. Guardian Angels responded with attacking intent, but the Ambaulim defence stood tall to protect their advantage going into the break.
Ambaulim wasted no time after the restart, extending their lead in the 46th minute when Bradley Carvalho finished clinically to make it 2-0. Guardian Angels pushed forward in search of a comeback, but the disciplined Ambaulim backline ensured there were no late surprises, securing a clean sheet and a well-earned win.
Savlon Fernandes of United Boys Ambaulim was awarded Player of the Match for his impactful performance throughout the game.
