MARGAO: Rosary Youth Club, Zorivado, edged past Dongorim Boys 3–2 to secure a place in the quarterfinals of the TYC Trophy Football Tournament, organised by Telaulim Youth Club at the Government Primary School Ground, Telaulim, on Tuesday.
Rosary Youth Club Zorivado took control of the match with a brace from Clyde Colaco in the 35th and 37th minutes, before Prince Figuredo added a third goal for Zorivado. Dongorim Boys fought back with a brace from Anil Shirvekar in the 45th and 50th minutes, but it was not enough to turn the game around.
The Man of the Match award was presented to Clyde Colaco by Joe Dias, former player of Carmel Sports Club, in recognition of his match-winning performance.
