Anushka Manchanda to perform live at Hotel Tamrind

Singer and VJ, Anushka Manchanda will perform a live acoustic set of classic Hindi and English songs with a pinch of Jazz, this Wednesday, June 17 from 8 pm onwards at Hotel Tamarind in Anjuna. She will be accompanied by Goa’s own Guitar Guru, Elvis Lobo along with Xavier Peres on keyboards and Bosco D’Souza on the Djembe.
Speaking of why she wanted to perform in Goa, Anushka says, “Coming to Goa is like coming home. I have lost and found myself several times here and I have a beautiful connection with this place. The Tamarind has been a labor of love and I have been a part of its rebirth. That is why this performance is so special for me. I will be singing some my favourite Hindi and English songs, but I will be stripping them down and giving them a different life.
Launched into the Bollywood playback scene with her first super hit song , Anushka was hailed as the voice of the new generation and has worked with some of the most successful music directors in the country ranging from Vishal-Shekhar, Salim-Suleiman and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, to Sachin-Jigar, Pritam and Amit Trivedi. Having gained a reputation to extensively experiment with sound, Manchanda has collaborated with several Indian and international musicians, Djs and producers that include Chicane, Akcent, Ma Faiza, Anish Sood, Nanok, Ashvin Mani Sharma, Ash Roy (previously Jalebee Cartel) and Mikey Mc Cleary. She is also the voice behind several advertisements for brands like Vodafone, Levis, Lakme, Sony, Nokia, Dove and Nivea.
