Ashok Leyland Ltd, a flagship of the Hinduja Group, celebrated sales of 100,000 , the first commercial vehicle (CV) from the joint venture between Ashok Leyland and Nissan.

Having reached this milestone in less than four years of launch, is one of the fastest growing brands in its segment and also the largest volume brand in the Ashok Leyland portfolio.

“We have about 1000 happy Dost customers in the Goan market catered by Gemini Motors from a very modern facility in North Goa at Colvale Industrial Estate. We also have a touch point for service at South Goa,” said Agnelo Gomes, General Manager of Gemini Motors, while addressing the media at the Colvale showroom.

Gemini Motors has been associated with Ashok Leyland for the last 10 years with medium and heavy commercial vehicles.

“ fulfils an important gap in our portfolio and 100,000 vehicles on-road, across 11 countries, is proof of good product design, solid engineering and strong market acceptance. It is already the no 2 player in its segment,” said Vinod K Dasari, Managing Director, Ashok Leyland Ltd.

As a part of the 1,00,000 celebration, nationwide free service check-up camps, loyalty and referral programmes and exciting customer contests have been planned.

The new High Side Deck variant is also being launched to help the customers get the benefit of a higher loan amount and a company-fitted ready-to-use vehicle.

PTI New Delhi The Finance Ministry has sought a shortened and simplified FDI policy document as part of exercise to improve ease of doing business in the country.
