Apex Industry body, Associated Chambers of Commerce of India (ASSOCHAM,) is organizing a seminar ‘Developing the Nation Digitally’, which will focus on use of Information and Communication and Technology for social development. The objective of the seminar is to promote and facilitate the use of unique and innovative initiatives in Governance, Education, Health, BFSI and many more across the country.
This event is being conducted in the light of DIGITAL INDIA a program initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The event will enlighten the masses on the impact and influence of innovation in the field of social development.
The seminar will have three sessions. The inaugural session will be addressed by CM Parsekar - Dy CM Francis D'souza, G S Phani Kishore - Secretary (IT), Government of Andhra Pradesh, ASSOCHAM MSME Council Co Chairman, Manguirish Pai Raiker, GCCI President, Narayan Bandekar and D S Rawat, Secretary General, ASSOCHAM.
The second session is titled “ ICT for Development”. India is known around the world for the success of its export-oriented ICT services industry, but this session will focus on whether ICTs has been valuable in providing broader development benefits to all Indian citizens.
In the third session is titled ‘Digital Bharat: The Way Forward’ Digital India initiative was launched on July 3 with a vision to digitally empower each and every citizen of the country.
Goan speakers at the seminar will be Mr. Prajyot Mainkar “ Director , Androcid Media Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. Vincent Toscano who will speak on Economic revival of rural Goa through IT in school education.
The seminar is being held at Vivanta by Taj, Panaji on Monday,16th November, 2015 from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm.
