The Anjuna Gymkhana is a club that strives to tap into thevigor of youth and help them enhance their skills on the football fields. The club has focused on training under 14footballers for several years now. The students of this club have moved on tograce the teams of some of the biggest clubs in the state. The team took part in the Manchester Cup andperformed admirably. They drew with Salgaoncar and trashed Vasco 7-1. They lost to the under 18 Dempo team 2-3. Themanagement has expressed their hope of sustaining their presence in the Under14 category for several years. This they said was their contribution to thestate as well as the country. The team has excellent coaches who have ensuredthat a continuous supply of players make a mark in the state.
“This club is doing fantastic work in a place where drugsand easy money is available. By playing football these kids have some focus intheir lives now and a goal to work towards.
