With the interest in ceramic art growing both in the country as well as internationally, The Cube Gallery, Moira is all set to organise Ceramic Spectrum 2016, an exhibition of ceramic art works from various Indian artists from January 21 onwards.

“This will be an introductory show into contemporary ceramic artworks in the country. While traditional ceramic art is especially popular in Goan villages, there are not many artists involved in contemporary works from Goa,” says the Goa based Sylvia Kerkar, who together with Anjani Khanna is curating the show and will be showcasing their works too. “ The show will be running for an entire month and will feature a range of artists right from those who have been in the field from 20-30 years to some young artists and will include both sculptural contemporary works as well as old traditional and functional pieces.” Apart from Kerkar, Thomas Louis is the other Goa based artist who will be showcasing at the event. The other artists whose works will be on display are Ray Meeker, Adil Writer, Vineet Kacker , Sharbani Dasgupta , late Leila Bose Powar, Supriya Menon Meninghetti, Veena Chandran, Rakhee Kane , Amrita Dhawan, Shampa Shah, Ange Peter and Ranjita Bora.
