Supplementary exams from May 16

The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has extended the deadline for obtaining verified photocopies of answer books for the HSSC Examination until April 29, 2024, owing to a low response rate and technical difficulties faced by some applicant students.
Goa Board Chairman Bhagirath Shetye has confirmed the development disclosing that the Board received a modest number of applications with around 23 for obtaining photocopies. Another 20 requests have been received for revaluation so far, for which the deadline is May 3.
"The response rate has been lower than anticipated, and a number of students encountered technical challenges during the online payment process for applying for verified copies of answer sheets and reevaluation. Consequently, the deadline has been extended until April 29," he said, while responding to a query by The Goan on the reason for the delay.
It has been learnt that a majority of inquiries have come from the Arts and Commerce streams, while the least number of inquiries were received from the Science stream so far.
A total of 17,511 students cleared their Class 12th exams in the academic year 2023-24. Meanwhile, the Board has also declared supplementary exams from May 16 (theory) across streams, and practical exams on May 21. The portal will be open from May 4 to May 8.
