The results of the One Act Play competition at higher secondary and college level organized by Kala Academy from January 28-31 at Kala Academy have been declared. Kadachit in Marathi section staged by Vidya Prabhodini College, Alto-Porvorim, Yamuche Gupit in Konkani section staged by Vidya Prabhodini College, Alto-Porvorim and Sorry, Wrong Number in English section staged by St. Xaviers College, Mapusa have been adjudged for best performances and awarded with first prize in the respective section.

Marathi Section

As per the detailed result in the Marathi Section No Appeal  staged by Goa University, Taleigao and Neki by Ganpat Parsekar College of Education, Harmal have bagged second and third prize respectively. 

Dayanand Rane (Purush) Kadachit  (Vidya Prabhodini College, Alto-Porvorim) and Vaibhav Kavlekar (Lawyer) No Appeal Goa University, Taleigao have been awarded with first and second prize for best  acting in male category.

 Vaishnavi Asgaonkar (Stree) Kadachit (Vidya Prabhodini College, Alto-Porvorim) & Anagha Azgaonkar (Amla) Neki Ganpat Parsekar College of Education, Harmal have been awarded first & Second prize for best acting in Female Category.

Ketan Jadhav Kadachit, Gautam Gaude “No Appeal” and Sashikant Pawar “ Neki” have bagged first, second and third prize respectively for Direction.

The prizes for technical support includes: Best Setting “ Kalidas Mhamal Kadhacit . 

Best light effects- Kaushal Borkar Dardpora. The merit certificate in light effect is awarded to Prasad Kalangutkar “Ratkide”  

Best background music- Shailesh Kesrani “Kadachit”. The merit certificate in background music is awarded to Sanjay Salelkar “No Appeal”.

Best make-up - Lala Chari “Maha......Bharat”  

Best Costumes “ Sindura Parab “Maha......Bharat”. 

The first, second and third prize for best script are awarded to Prashanti Mangaonkar for “R.A.C staged by Sridhar Caculo College of Commerce & Management, Khorlim-Mapusa, Aditi Barve “Prashnachinha” S.S. Dempo College of Commerce & Economics, Cujira-Bambolim & Prasad Kalangutkar “Ratkide” Dnyanprassarak Mandals College & Research Centre, Assagao.

Konkani Section

In the Konkani Section, Manatalya Manat staged by Dnyanprassarak Mandals College & Research Centre, Assagao and Artificial Intelligence staged by St. Xaviers College, Mapusa have bagged second and third prize respectively for performances. 

The first and second prize for best acting (male) has gone to Shivaji Ozrekar (Madhu) Yamuche Gupit  Vidya Prabhodini College, Alto-Porvorim & Yuvankur Karpe (Piyush) Artificial Intelligence staged by St. Xaviers College, Mapusa.

The first and second prizes for acting (female) have been bagged by Trupti Salgaonkar (Malti) Yamuche Gupit Vidya Prabhodini College, Alto-Porvorim & Sakshi Parab (Vrushali) Manatalya Manat Dnyanprassarak Mandals College & Research Centre, Assagao  

Pooja Dube Yamuche Gupit, Chandru Govekar Manatalya Manat & Sagar Haldankar Artificial Intelligence have been bagged the first, second and third prize respectively for direction.

The prizes for technical support in Best Sets are awarded to Shravan Naik Kuddegaal. 

Best Light effects “ Srinivas Usgaonkar Antim Sat. The merit certificate in light effect is awarded to Dhananjay Falkar Padebayat Bhangar Pikla

Best Background Music “ Shailesh Kesrani Yamuche Gupit. The merit certificate in background music is awarded to Chandru Govekar Manatalya Manat.

Best make-up “ Amita Naik Padebayat Bhangar Pikla. 

Best Costumes “ Saji Vernekar “Antim Sat”. 

The first prize for best script has gone to Kavindra Phaldessai “Kuddegaal”.

English Section

In the English Section The Nation Wants to Know! by Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College & Research Centre, Asgao have bagged second respectively for the performances.

The first prize for best acting (male) has gone to Veeresh Yadwad for the role of Aaron (The Nation Wants to Know) Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College & Research Centre, Asgao.  

The first and second prizes for acting (female) have gone to Victoria Lobo for the role of Mrs. Stevenson (Sorry, Wrong Number) St. Xaviers College, Mapusa, and Vrushika Shriodkar for the role of Sasha(The Nation Wants to Know) Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College & Research Centre, Asgao.  

The first and second prize for direction have been bagged by Mrs. Prashanti Talpankar  The Nation Wants to Know, Dyanprasarak Mandal College of Research Centre, Asgao & Ms Alice D’Cruz Sorry, Wrong Number St. Xaviers College, Mapusa St. Xaviers College, Mapusa.

The prizes for technical support in Best Set is awarded to Alvyn Abranches The Nation Wants to Know, Dyanprasarak Mandal College of Research Centre, Asgao.

Best Lights “ Kyle Noronha “Sorry, Wrong Number.  

Best background music- Pratik Kitlekar Sorry, Wrong Number.

Best make-up “Nelzita Mascarenhas Sorry, Wrong Number.
