Independence means dignity and justice for every Indian

Decades after Independence, India has achieved much, yet many challenges remain. While other nations that gained freedom alongside us have advanced rapidly, we continue to struggle with divisions of politics, religion, caste, language, region and culture. Our Constitution must remain the foundation of equality, liberty, fraternity, democracy and rule of law. Dissent, criticism and individual freedoms must be protected. Violence, vigilantism, corruption, discrimination and social injustice require urgent action. No individual or political party is supreme; the nation must always come first. Independence must ultimately mean dignity, opportunity and justice for every Indian—not merely celebration for the privileged few.
